Our supplier sources non-GMO beets grown and processed in the USA. The Beet Juice Powder is aqueous extracted and spray dried onto non-GMO maltodextrin, then standardized for consistent color. This product meets vegan requirements and because of the extraction method, no residual solvents are present in the final product.
It is best to experiment in small batches when using Beet Juice Powder. The strength and tone of the color may vary from a deep violet-red to violet to pink depending on the infusion method you use and the pH of the product you are trying to color. Higher acidity will yield a more red color and higher alkaline will yield a yellow to gray color. Red Beet Powder can be used in a wide variety of products including scrubs, Hair & Body Wash, Facial Cleansers and Masques, and Lip Gloss. We do not recommend Beet Juice Powder in cold process soap making as the color tends to turn yellow or gray.
