Beta-Carotene (or ß-Carotene) is an excellent skin care ingredient, serving as an antioxidant and precursor to vitamin A, thus is frequently referred to as provitamin A. It's a wonderful skin conditioning ingredient and is also used as a cosmetic colorant.
