Kaolin Clay, sometimes called White or China Clay, is a highly adsorbent clay that cleanses the skin. It's especially beneficial for those with sensitive skin and wonderful in use as a clay poultice, mud pack, facial mask and even in some lotion and cleanser recipes. It gently exfoliates and cleanses resulting in younger looking skin. Clays used in water based products are best preserved with broad spectrum preservatives such as Essential's Preservative Blend.

Using a mortar and pestle is best for creating a paste with clay. Clay is amazing at around 40% in a body wrap, 30%-70% in a facial or body mask, and 0.05%-1% in a cleanser or lotion. Please be aware that clay is extremely hard to preserve.
